About

Çağdaş ve Yenilikçi Eğitimciler Derneği is a non-governmental organization located in Trabzon, a coastal city in the North of Turkey.

Our organisation was founded by a group of young teachers from different branches from Trabzon, who found out that the youth in their local community needs the support to develop their personal and professional skills to have a better chance in the labor market, as well to raise the awareness of their needs when they choose their university. Based on our experiences and knowledge, we offer youth and adults the opportunity to combine their willingness to learn, we are also helping them develop themselves and giving them a chance to get to know other cultures. We are focusing on working within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program using as the main methodology, non-formal or informal approaches.

Principal’s Welcome

Our TARGET group is made up of young people with fewer opportunities, especially unemployed young people between 14 to 30 years old and adults from the region of

Trabzon and including the rural areas. We are offering education and training, through

personal development, cultural and artistic activities based on European values.

There is a VET school, a music school, a fine arts school, a special-needs school, a primary school within our organization.We cooperate in local and international projects.

Our methods are based on:

-Generating innovative and effective methods, techniques and work tools for the fight against unemployment and social exclusion.

- Promoting social volunteering in the fight against social exclusion and social inequalities.

- Promoting and participating in international initiatives both with countries of the European Union and with other non-EU countries within the framework of cooperation for development.

- Establishing networks with other social agents and organizations of the third sector, both nationally and internationally, as an effective method to respond to the problem of unemployment and social exclusion and as a form of social commitment to the territory where the entity is located.

- Promoting gender equality, human rights, and youth mobility.

Mission

Çağdaş ve Yenilikçi Eğitimciler Derneği has an experienced team that works with Erasmus+ and uses non-formal methods according to the project's themes. Participates in the management of the program throughout its life cycle, including the design, development, implementation, monitoring, and dissemination of results. The organization focuses on creating new opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities, who represent an active attitude to work, help and change their local environment, who wants to learn new things and acquire new experiences, to develop their personal and professional skills and knowledge. Through Erasmus+ ‘inclusion, educational, cultural, social projects, active citizenship, entrepreneurship, sports, fine arts, music, agriculture, digitalization, robotics, climate change, healthy lifestyle, peacebuilding’ we want to give our members new opportunities. Young people are the future of our world, that is why they need our support.

Our main activities are;

● Mobility programs

● Training courses, national and international level

● Supporting and suggesting inclusion activities in local schools

● Organization of seminars, conferences, workshops and youth initiatives

projects for our students

●Offering social,arts,sports,agricultural,digitalization,geographical,healty-life,cultural integration activities for young people

● Promoting European values and cooperation among students, teaching staff

and all other workers

● Taking active roles in determining youth policies at the local level

● Working with and supporting young people with fewer opportunities in Trabzon, Turkey

● Organizing weekly foreign language workshops in Trabzon.
